Managing Cookies
When you first visit our site, a cookie consent banner will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can accept analytics cookies or reject them. Essential cookies are always active. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site, which will cause the consent banner to reappear.
7. Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics and tracking tags on our site. GTM is a tag management system that allows us to deploy tracking codes through a single container.
By default, GTM is loaded with analytics storage set to denied, meaning no analytics data is collected until you explicitly grant consent via the cookie banner. When you accept cookies, GTM enables Google Analytics tags which may collect the following anonymized data:
- Pages visited and navigation path
- Time spent on pages
- Referral source (how you reached our site)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, IP anonymized)
By default, advertising and analytics storage are set to denied, meaning no advertising or analytics data is collected until you explicitly grant consent via the cookie banner. When you accept cookies, GTM enables Google Analytics tags and Google AdSense may serve personalized ads using advertising cookies as described in Section 6. If you reject cookies, GTM continues to run but analytics and advertising tags remain disabled and no data is sent to Google.
For more information about Google's data practices, see Google's Privacy Policy.
8. Google AdSense & Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites on the internet.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. The advertising cookies listed in Section 6 are used for the following purposes:
- Delivering relevant advertisements based on your browsing history and interests
- Limiting the number of times you see the same advertisement (frequency capping)
- Measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
- Reporting ad interactions (clicks, impressions) to advertisers
Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads: If you accept cookies (including ad_storage), Google may serve personalized ads based on your interests. If you reject cookies, Google will serve non-personalized ads only, which are not based on your browsing behavior but may be based on the content of the page you are viewing.
Opting Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by:
- Visiting Google Ad Settings to manage your ad preferences
- Visiting Your Online Choices to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies
- Rejecting cookies via our cookie consent banner, which disables ad_storage
- Using your browser's settings to block or delete third-party cookies
